Top Ten California
Schools
The 2006-2007 API scores
are out and
Bay Area Schools again
dominated the top ten
list for Elementary and
Middle Schools, but
Southern California does
better with high
schools.
Fremont was the
only school district to
have representation in
all three stratums. Bay
Area schools are in Blue.
Not surprisingly the
neighborhoods associated
with high performing
schools are still in
demand. If you are

Sub-Prime Melt-Down. Is
It Over Yet?
I attended a
seminar last
week given by
Peter Dennenhy
of the Gerson
Lehrman Group,
he seems to
think that the
worst of the
impact from the
sub-prime resets
won't occur till
late spring to
summer 2008,
which is a
couple months
later than what
I read about in
reports issued
by HSBC and
Merril Lynch.
However on the
positive side -
he explained
California's
population is
ever-expanding,
as is our job
growth. Bottom
line - we'll get
past this cycle
like we did in
the past.
